In Bed On Sunday Morning

by Quinlan L Gibson

In waking up next to him
I feel the warm arms
creep and circulate
my blood by that touch.
I push myself closer
for one last scent...
one more kiss,
and you started all this
by knowing i love it so much.

I vacation
to my dreams
on these weekends and i seem
a million miles
away from the empty space.
The longing words.
The urge to cry.
The bittersweet goodbye
of the Sunday morning.

Very romantic. I like your use of "vacation". And now that it is cold there, it must be really hard to get out of the nice warm bed.

The associations will bring the moments back, again and again. The moments so alive.

A good time to be in bed. Thanks for the well worded reminder. Sigh...still four days away.

*soft smile* ummm... bittersweet is this one... the sweetest of touchings, the pain of parting... sort of like love and life itself. Very well written it reaches out and touches.

Glad I was able to read this again. A worthy choice indeed for POTD Quin, and a pleasant surprise. Congrats! Chris :o)

"CRUNCH". A novel in so few words... beautiful

I really love the rhythm here -- its such a reare gift that allows certain folks to bid words play together just so. Tight, expressive, lyrical. Just perfect.
