Measureless by Kate DemereeWhat measures a heart A cup A beaker A Breaker The wave that rolls Beyond walls Seeps under between Ingrained sand An imagining A dream
Or you the weaver Shuttlecock in hand Heart threads Entwined Over, under, through The spirit
Love a word Left unspoken Sealed wall less Behind moist lips Eye the heart speaks Wordless Shakes the foundation To the core Trembling fingers touch Brush, painting I love you In aloe vera cream
Rest Weaver In the measure Of a heart

In the measure
Of a heart......the heart is measureless. The measureless heart answered it in no uncertain words.
