reflective nightmare by Michele Schottelkorbdreaming through kaleidoscope eyes
the misfit feels no pain
seething at the purple skies
her body knows no shame
drifting to a place unknown
her spirit never here
doing only what she's shown
death is very near
rising to accept her fate
cringing deep inside
wishing for a single mate
where is her place to hide?
torturing her fragile spirit
she butchers her precious soul
the victim, yes she knows it
vomits nightly in a bowl
look at her stark reflection
deep within a mirror
spit at her grim direction
the reaper has a sneer
how much longer can she live
this pitiful sad existence
hating herself, no more to give sickened just by her presence07/02/2003 Author's Note: internal thoughts of my youth gone wild...
