On a high

by Rommel Cruz

Let’s get high, I’m on a high
Knowing all they say are lies
Coz you are fine, I am fine
Stepping out their broken lines.

You will glide, I will slide
Away from our unhappiness
You will swirl, I will twirl
Goodbye to longing hearts’ sadness.

Let’s get high, I’m on a high
Basking in the bright blue sky
Coz you are fine, I am fine
The whole world is yours and mine.

You will glide, I will slide
Away from life’s miseries
You will swirl, I will twirl
Goodbye to hungry souls’ emptiness.

So let’s get high,
You’re on a high,
I’m on a high
We’re on a high

On a high, on a high, on a high.

Wow! Makes me want to slide and glide with a big fat smile on my face. Bravo!

I agree with Jessica, this poem definitely sings. Kinda reminds me of that song "Because I Got High" but yours is much better! :) Glad to see you are well.

...and then my favourite "junk" turned into a "junky" ...having us all trip on his highs!!! :P

I like the rhythm and flow, especially the double rhymes in some lines :)
