::weekend for memories:: (haiku collective) by Bethany Leesaturday morning
with grandparents' love
topped with strawberry shortcake
husband and wife smile
laughing at "you don't know jack"
sitting side by side
sizzle, breathy sighs
pornos giving backdrop glow
lovers entangle
sharing dreams and thoughts
sleepy heads hit the pillow
-dreaming continues...
pancake supplement
coffee, sugar, energy
sated, happy, warm
a short drive from home:
sun-trails led to beaver ponds -
frogs along the way...
a beautiful day,
romping and playing on swings.
the sky, blue and clear
visting some friends,
eating favourite pizza
sated, once again.
good food and music
giggles and conversation,
as good as it gets.
until:
the weekend ended
with splendid prisms arching
against the sunset... 06/10/2003 Author's Note: inspired by the most magickal weekend i have experienced thus far. it was just one wonderful event after another. and the rainbow Sunday night was the icing on the cake!

| Posted by Rachelle Howe on 06/11/03 at 09:36 PM usually, i really hate haiku... however, the way you put this all together is really brilliant. *smooch* much love |

frogs along the way... brings on some fine boyhood memories. Thanks.
