Morninng At The Lake by Kate DemereeThere is such peace here In this place of sanctuary The water of the lake ebbs and flows Rolling rocks to and fro Till they find their niche That place where they may rest Grow moss, collect debris Until the next time a Large breaker moves them along the lakebed Perhaps to some distant shore Where they can lay in the sun
The trees grow strong and tall With branches that seem to reach to each other Wind moving their many arms To brush one another How calm and serene it is What wonders it does for the heart, spirit and mind Filling up again that part which work, worry The every day hurry to grasp the straws of life depletes A precious gift this time and place Full of wounded hearts, once more finding life And the joy of being
