Cat Moment

by Glenn Currier

New Page 1

She in her orange softness
her pleading face and plaintive cry
and sensuous writhing

I on a trip to the fridge
thirsting for the purple coolness of plum
can't resist the trust of her belly
and this moment
in her unclothed tangor downiness.

I like how this leads me to question whether it's about a cat or a woman. As one who's often seen the opposite sex as feline, I'll let the question happily rest answered as both. Fine originality here Glenn!

Man, I love my cat. He's not orange, but he's great. I'm so sad I'm going to be leaving him behind when I go off to college, but I think I'll write lots of love poems to him while I'm away.

There is such a sensual feel to this, as well as a playfulness that it is indeed catlike, I being a catlover..... am happily *smiling*... Great Orange Read! lolol... *hugs*... Like Very Much!

Vibrant poetry, Glenn. You have certainly captured this sleepy feline encounter in articulate style. Peace...

Great capture of both the cat and your own mood at that one moment of interaction, you falling into her wily charms! Well presented for us all to experience through your eyes.

*chuckle* what attitude they have, yet who can resist? Very well expressed!
