Samurai Amidst Cherry Blossoms 1 [End of Swans] by Alastre ZidlerSilence.
A kneeling black flower,
Knifing silent mantras through
A rice paper moon.
The whisper-smack of
Steel, watery blue,
An apple-white flash.
Snowy ripples through
A memorial reflection.
In his reddened hands
Strands of shredded silk
Black hair, as if from a mask;
Images of dead birds
Finally pulled from cages.
Strings of bleeding characters,
Spilling out devotion.
Painted with ash
A crawling phoenix
Trailing nightmares
Of red fire. 05/22/2003 Author's Note: To be continued. . .
