acceptance by Cymbre DolphayI walk through this valley
in the shadow of death
cold handed, cold breathed
alone to my travels
alone in my strife
the sorrow I know
has imprisoned me here
left to my fate
The sun shall return
and the land of light
but now it is dark
while the heart mourns
the loss of something lovely
nothing that can be changed
just a setback of life 05/16/2003 Author's Note: don't look at that boy again

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 04/24/15 at 10:41 AM to love is prosaic. to be loved is poetic. poetry ultimately is not about being loved but bout about love that goes unrequited. it is the germ of poetry, this needing to be loved in return. |
