company of a friend
semi-sleepy sober
tea drink in hand

Reminiscing of old
times
and has beens
would bes
should bes
but never were

Guilty pleasure
not cashed in
the rounded lips
that tasted
sleepy sugar drink
did not taste me

I lie awake in wonder
something I should have said?
the woulda shoulda coulda
and still never did
