Between The Dark And Dark

by Cole Miller

It was in the dark I met you
And in the dark you left me
It was in the dark I was born
And in the dark that I died
But between the dark and dark
You opened me up to the light

i've had a person who has done this for me. i felt like i was all alone into the dark and they brought in that bright shining light.

An affirmative piece that speaks with a ray of hope, while tending a provocative mood. Congratulations on becoming Poet of the Day, Nicole. Peace...

Superb play of words and opposites, where both light and darkness run very deep. Excellent choice for POTD...congrats!

Very wise and well said. An excellent example of wisdom expressed through verse. Thanks for sharing.

Normally I don't respond to the very short poems but this one is soooo good. Loved it.
