Sanctuary by Melissa ArelI used to be scared of being alone
Then loneliness became my only friend.
Self-pity was my habitual sanctuary
And I was a faithful disciple.
Life became tolerant, and unwillingly so
While the peace of breath was far and few between.
But then you came along, smiled
Alas! Love followed.
I have partook of this graciously
Believing all the more in Fate's hand. 07/10/2001 Author's Note: ~repost~
