Plastic Jesus

by Jersey D Gibson

Dear Plastic Jesus;
on my car's dashboard.
Save me from my road rage,
demons in cars come in hoards.

Dear Beaded Crucifix;
hanging from my rearview mirror.
Show me the way on the roads of sin,
tell me I have nothing to fear.

Dear Holy Bible;
sitting on the passenger seat.
Point out the rights and wrongs,
of the drivers that I meet.

Dear Christian Band;
playing in my car's tape deck.
Don't dare listen to those honking horns,
as I sing along with you.

Quite the nice departure from your previous work Jersey. A new favorite of mine.
