Citizens of America by Cathlyn CartierMen and women of courage and valor,
Fighting to protect our freedoms;
Seeking to uncover the terror(ists) that would destroy us,
Before it can take root and flourish.
Men and women of courage and valor,
Fighting to free others from the bonds of tyranny;
To lift the veil of fear that has cloaked a nation
And held its citizens powerless far too long.
Men and women of duty and honor,
Serving their country;
Answering their nations call;
Prepared to sacrifice all.
Men and women of duty and honor,
Now is the time for us to respond;
As we see our loved ones battling in foreign lands
Let us lift our voices in prayer and supplication
For their safety and return.
Citizens of America
Full of courage and valor; duty and honor,
Now is the time to unite;
Join together our hands in support of one another;
Soften our hearts for those who are suffering loss,
And open our arms to welcome our defenders upon their return.
