Fish Story by Ken HarnischTrue story
No lie.
No fooling.
No shit.
Two guys working
In the Fulton Fish Market
Yesterday
(Thats in New York,
Geography loving
Poets)
One swears this
Dead carp spoke to
Him, saying,
The end is near.
The other guy,
An Ecuadorian,
Crossed himself
And cried, el Diablo!
And it was
Only a coincidence
That you can look
Up from the Fish Market
At anytime
And see the hole in the sky
Where the World Trade Center
Used to be
But hey,
Thats just
a fluke
Isnt it?
(I made a funny!)
Well, of course
We laughed;
How silly!
Especially when
The bass that hangs
On my living room wall
Told me
Just yesterday
Dont Worry,
Be Happy
Fish Stories
Heck, you just
Dont know
Which one to believe
