Simple Kind Of Nothing

by Jersey D Gibson

My God lacks the balls
to tell me that I'm wrong.
My nation lacks the brains
to do what is good and right.
My country lacks the spine
to stand up for it's crimes.
My world lacks the pride
to keep itself pure.
My people lack the decency
not to kill, main, or plunder.
My family lacks the normality
to sit down together for dinner.
My life lacks the purity
of a simple kind of life.
I lack the courage
to do something to make it better.

Sometimes the slackers bring about the best revolts. "Only you can prevent forest fires"

Well, this one just simply slapped me right in the face. I gripe & complain about these anti-war protests, but sit back & do nothing. Thanks for the awakening, I needed it. :)

Sad reflection. Adds new meaning to Gavin's belief that much of the world is morally bankrupt.
