I Threw My Dreams Into The Sea

by Melissa Arel

I threw my dreams into the sea
Hoping they would rise into the clouds
And shower upon us like rain

Dripping with love, falling with hope

Then once more, I could hold them close
As they melted into my skin
Finding their way back into my heart

Flowing with peace, returning to their birth

And when I'’d cry rivers of water, you’d see
Each of my dreams slipping away
Rejoining those captured in the blue skies

Flying with angels, watching us below

And we'’d wait for them to come back down
Knowing you, too, would become a part of my dreams
For you have already become a part of my soul

A romantic reverie in freshly expressed dimensions.

I confess I always read others poetry through my own filters, I supose we all do. the capacity to capure a common emotion and express it is something I think you've captured here in a notable way. I feel the releasing of dreams, wishing for their return in fulfilment, but also a peaceful acceptance of those dreams that don't return; trusting in a matrix governed not by chance but by a person who cares for us ultimately very nice work thanks

This reminds me of the saying "if you love it, set it free.... if it comes back to you it was meant to be"..... Very lovely imagery in this poem! Very deserving of POTD! Nice job Melissa!
