Are you beautiful?

by Rommel Cruz

Will you still be beautiful
Scorching hot
Ensnaring to look at
Without your fifty-dollar makeup
Cosmetically-enhanced smile
Skin-tight clothes
Revealing those plump
surgically-augmented breasts
Salon-fresh shining hair
Or are you just
Lifeless and unappealing
Without those expensive
cosmetic alterations?

Author's Note: I'm trying to make a point here. I think. LOL. =)

Nicely stated Rommel. A great reminder that true beauty comes from inside and has no price. Peace...

Yep. Nothing like the natural beauty of a person which needs no cosmetic alterations.

yes indeed, it's hard to tell what lies underneath the artificiality sometimes

what you pose is certainly the question of the ages. whether we trust ourselves to be ourselves and leave off the frill.
