Ashes to flesh

by Rommel Cruz

What will you give
to bring back the ashes
to the singing breaths
crackling laughter
understanding eyes
comforting embrace
soothing hands
wrinkled eyes
and caring sighs?

Love the title Rommel and poem that aptly reflects it.

Ahh, it's hard to say. When losing a loved one you almost feel as though you'd give anything to have them back. Or even if they didn't die. Losing them altogether can be painful. good job on this, rommel.

A situation one feels helpless in.... too many questions where the answers will stay out... Only memories to keep alive and eternal love! Great poem!!

Ahhh! The unanswerable question. These precious things like your stimulating poem have no price. Peace...

What would you give to bring someone back... would you give yourself? Wow... a lot of deep thought in this one. Thanks for posting.
