Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 11/09/02 at 01:52 PM Recapturing an essential part of childhood. As adults it is a motivational part of our being called Imagination but we feel we have to keep it hidden lest we be considered childish! You insightfully indicate the need to (or desire to) catch again the excitement, curiosity, and enchantment of childhood. |
Posted by Tim D Livingston on 11/09/02 at 05:52 PM Someone told me to be childlike rather than "childish". Childlike being a combination of innocence, wonder, and wisdom. There's the free thought for the day. Nicely done. Now I wish the dern leprechauns and monsters would stop fighting under my bed. :) |

Posted by Glenn Currier on 11/11/02 at 06:50 AM and renewed it is with this poem... isn't this art a miracle (if not magic) in the way it dusts off dreams and oils jammed up joints and makes us fly? You worked your magic with this one, David. |
Posted by Mara Meade on 11/12/02 at 10:47 PM I love the lack of punctuation in this - it sounds like a breathless, excited child... the ending a bit sad...or maybe accepting... but still moving forward... |
