Footprint

by Glenn Currier

Does the footprint
but make an indent?

Does it point the way
or merely betray

a sodden past -
of what you've amassed

and carry on your back -
showing your lack
of the Lighter things
that could give you wings?

Glen this piece offers wonderful imagery and thought...well developed, crafted, and delivered...succinct poetry can be ever so sweet, this poem proves that...keep at it...peace n love...Jewels

This really makes me think. Footprints are mostly perishable. What about the imprint one leaves who has wings? Wonderful thought provoking words Glenn.
