Stop This Madness

by Anne Engelen

Who are you

to think that you can barge

into my life like that?

Who are you

to think that you can say

whatever you want to say?

Who are you

to look at me and disagree

with what you see?

Just for the pleasure of disagreeing?

Who the heck are you

and why do you love to make me feel blue?

Why don’t you answer me?

You’ve had your chance

Not an eye I glance at you anymore

My reflection, my mirror goes out the door

Time to stop this madness

I’m more than what meets the eye

Far from perfect I’m glad to say

So...

Tomorrow there’s another day

to learn to love the inner me

The person I also want you to see

Great fighting back piece, Anne, and expression of inner turmoil between the light and dark sides. Give em Hell!

Anne, no victim here! Powerful woman, medicine woman, make your lightning and thrust it at the egos whose blindness keeps them in the darkness of their own purgatory... The grace-full ending sparkles with strength and soul.
