Winter Years

by Charles E Minshall

They've reached the winter of their years,
Their spring, summer and fall have past
They've reached the winter of their years
But their love will always last.

All their yesterdays
have come and gone
But their great love
goes on and on.

It's the winter of their years
But their love just has a start,
Though it's the winter of their years
It's springtime in their hearts.

It's sounds like their love will take them sky high to their mountain tops, where the'll master downhill skying something only can be done in their wintertime! Nice one Charlie !!

Charlie, what a lovely salute to an enduring relationship. I have a special appreciation for couples who can outlast those dusty demons that stalk us who live long enough to beat the dreadful divorce odds.

Beautiful Charlie... love in the winter years, or any. This made me smile and remember my grandparents... thanks my friend.

You write eloquently of lasting romance in hearts made one in love.
