A Sots Fables Page Two

by Charles E Minshall

Ivan Rasputin Iyawnavitch
A Siberian hunter and trapper,
To help ward off the bitter cold
Of the Siberian winter nights,
Fashioned night clothes
For both he and his wife
Woven from the fur of Siberian wolves.
After several sleepless nights
Of itching and scratching,
Scratching and itching,
They could stand no more
And went back to conventional sleepwear.

Moral: Beware of wolves in sleep clothing.
