Fear of Darkness

by Glenn Currier

Oh why do I the darkness fear
when evenings make my dreams appear
a photo from a darkened room
a baby from a mother's womb
a good night's sleep restoring strength
a twilight from a shadow's length
the tides that rest with darkened moon
the sunset's call for songs of loons
the morning comes from darkened East
and stars come out when days have ceased,
or is it that I'm from the West
where Eastern views are not expressed?

This is so good. It's been around a while i know but now I have found it. Why to fear? well of course what we can and can not see are as different as (yep you guessed it) night and day. nicely done!
