If I Tell You*

by Kristine Briese

If I tell you that I love you,
will your gaze come back to me?
Will your heart return and
wrap itself around me?
Will the music I've imagined
be a song you sing to me?
Will I be more than I was
before you found me?

If I tell you that I love you
far beyond infinity,
will you let me pull you back
from your perdition?
Will you join me in a union
that outshines divinity?
If I tell you that I love you--
will you listen?

Very nice Kristine. Excellent buildup to and closing off in those last two lines. Congrats on POTD!

Very nice. Like Chris, I really enjoy the way the last two lines pull this to a close (or an opening).
