April Eve by Charles E Minshall
____________________________
Candy canes
And Christmas trees,
Popcorn strings
And Christmas wreaths.
Packages dressed
In bright ribbon clothes,
Turkeys in the oven,
A delight to the nose.
Conversation and laughter,
Fill rooms with their din.
Though it's only April,
Lets do it again.

Posted by Melanie A Bennett on 03/05/03 at 04:07 AM Yes...it is just as enjoyable in March as I am sure it is every month of the year! :) Good job again Charlie! ~Mel~
Posted by Agnes Eva on 04/03/03 at 04:09 AM ah, the nostalgia of that long stretch between holidays
Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 04/19/03 at 01:53 AM It is coincidental that tonight my daughter's family is having Christmas with her in-laws because they couldn't get together this year in Dec. because of snow and severe weather. Cheerful read anytime of year.
