The Darkest Corners of My Mind

by Shy Leigh

What do you do when in life:
More things make your heart break than flutter,
More things crush your dreams than make them soar,
More things make you cry than smile,
When you just don't care to live anymore.

When weeping becomes a hobby,
And you never need to answer the door,
When 'happy' isn't in your vocabulary
And living suddenly becomes a chore.

When your dreams become disillusioned,
And sadness seeps down to your core,
When no one cares that you're still alive,
You begin to wonder what you're still living for.

You take it one day at a time. If you are at bottom the only way to go is up. Congrats on POTD.

Congrats on POTD! A strong rhyme and expression of what must be a miserable life. I hope, from the date given, that if this is you, you are in a much happier condition now.
