Relishing Gray

by Glenn Currier

I relish the yawn of a gray morning,
the silence of grass in fog
the wisdom of the clouds' knowing
that the cup of my senses cannot contain
one more moment of
the sharp carve of contrast
and the demands of a sunny day.

Great first line - guiding me into this morning's moment. Takes me back to childhood and going fishing early, early with parents. I can feel you embrace this day.
