From a Phone Booth

by John Harder

Subtle sign
Drop me a line
Unnoticeable truth
Staring from a phone booth

Move my finger
seven times
How hard could it be?
You're just like me

I don't know how
or what to say
Will it come out
in a wrong way?

Holding the receiver
One button left to press
Instead I hang up
There's too much stress

So many missed opportunities
to talk, to say hello
All because I'm too sensitive
my thoughts may never show

I agree w/Kimmie - this flowed perfectly.. The words echo your trepidation.. leaves us wishing you'd just call! I like it.. wonderful read :)

awww this is terribly sad. Great capture of the pressure though.

a wonderful little semi saga and expressed so powerfully in rhyme.
