CHOCOLATE

by Charles E Minshall

__________________________

Glorious chocolate
A sensual delight,
Oh! the rapture to be found
With each sumptuous bite.

Each morsel of chocolate
Is totally savored,
Nothing else on Earth
So deliciously flavored.

When a new box is opened
One piece is never ample,
One pound of chocolate
Is merely a sample.

If between chocolate
Or love I had to choose,
It would be the only time
That chocolate would lose.

Yes, but there is always the love of chocolate, so that both win, no? As an affirmed chocoholic, great read Charlie; you're preaching to the choir on this one.

I was all set for the chocolate to be the winner, too. Good one, Charlie!

Hi Charles, Just love it, great write. I do love it too. You & my hubby needs a T-Shirt that we saw in a flea market years ago. Give me all your chocolate and nobody will get hurt. I need one with the word Strawberries on it. A yummy poem, indeed. :)
