CHOCOLATE by Charles E Minshall
__________________________
Glorious chocolate
A sensual delight,
Oh! the rapture to be found
With each sumptuous bite.
Each morsel of chocolate
Is totally savored,
Nothing else on Earth
So deliciously flavored.
When a new box is opened
One piece is never ample,
One pound of chocolate
Is merely a sample.
If between chocolate
Or love I had to choose,
It would be the only time
That chocolate would lose.

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 10/09/04 at 06:25 PM Yes, but there is always the love of chocolate, so that both win, no? As an affirmed chocoholic, great read Charlie; you're preaching to the choir on this one. |
Posted by Michelle Angelini on 12/02/04 at 10:42 PM I was all set for the chocolate to be the winner, too. Good one, Charlie! |
Posted by Jean Mollett on 08/16/06 at 04:30 PM Hi Charles,
Just love it, great write. I do love it too. You & my hubby needs a T-Shirt that we saw in a flea market years ago.
Give me all your chocolate and nobody will get hurt.
I need one with the word Strawberries on it.
A yummy poem, indeed. :) |
