My poems.
08/03/2003 05:59 p.m.
My poems have been described as "ethereal" and "calm".

www.Distionary.Com defines "ethereal" as :

1) Characterized by lightness and insubstantiality; intangible.
2) Highly refined; delicate. See Synonyms at airy.
3) Of the celestial spheres; heavenly.
4) Not of this world; spiritual.

Ethereal seems to be so good a word to describe my works. I'm happy nonetheless. And Aiko Scott described "On withered leaves" as that. And I have always wanted a comment from her. Now I have one. =)))

As for "calm", well I really do want them to feel that way. So many bad things happening already. The least I need (and those reading my poems) is to get agitated, confused (and all those negative stuff) even more.

On "Freedom in the rain"
07/28/2003 01:38 p.m.
So I posted a new poem after a month-long hiatus. It's not really much. Someone even asked me what my point was. I dont blame him though. I think it's a weird poem especially under the circumstances I wrote it.

I wrote a majority of the 2nd stanza last Friday. The 1st stanza I thought of while in bed last Saturday (I didn't write it, just played with it on my head). Then I put them together last night (Sunday) because I was bored. Then rearranged... reworded... posted.

It actually started as a negative poem. But I thought, I don't want it to be negative. People will be reading it so I might as well make it something a bit positive that they may somehow benefit from. That's why the last stanza is a bit different from the first two. Plus I was getting tired and I couldn't really think of a way to end it. So I took the shortcut and wrote the last stanza to be finished with. LOL. I'm terrible at endings.

As I have already mentioned, it wasn't really suppposed to impart a positive message. I don't even like rain that much. It makes me sleepy. So I don't definitely find anything "spiritually positive" about the rain. I know it's important for water and stuff. But that's it. I don't really equate it to soul's cleansing. And yeah, I'm allergic to rain. Don't bother asking.

As I said to another reader, "rain doesn't make me happy. the poem is a lie brought about by my exercise on imagery". Seems the exercise did well. *shrugs*

Now I just spoiled the mood for the poem's readers. hahaha.

Duncan Sheik
07/21/2003 04:34 a.m.
So I went to Duncan Sheik's signing yesterday. I had to wait for like an hour before he arrived. My feet hurt. I hate waiting. But I wanted my CD signed. LOL. I didn't talk to him when it was my turn. I didn't even shook his hands. It ain't me to do so. Just going to that signing is against me. But since I wasn't able go to his concert, I figured the least I could have was his autograph.

He was nice. Smiling and all that. Some fans weren't able to get his autograph though. They cut it short. Dunno why. Maybe he was just tired and such.

Slacking
07/13/2003 03:33 p.m.
So I've been totally slacking the past what, month? Just that I don't feel like writing. Oh well, that seems to always happen to me anyway.

I want to watch a concert. I just need someone to come along with me. No fun watching it alone. I'm also trying to get some friends to go with clubbing with me at the Walled City [a walled city during the Spanish regime here. Now, they have bars and stuff there]. But right now I really want to watch a concert! LOL. My friends should make up their minds. Duncan Sheik's concert is this Friday. *sigh*. I'm being tempted to pay for their tickets. grrr. LOL.

And yeah, my last poem, On a High was inspired by Duncan Sheik's song of the same title.

To those who read my stuff and were kind enough to leave notes, thanks. I'm not sure if I personally thanked you. My connection is having PMS lately and I'm having thos page ecannot be displayed error. LOL.

For the past 2-3 weeks, I think I've only have like less than 20 reads. How pathetic is that. LOL.

OK. So I've said LOL so many times already. Time to go. I'll try to be back soon.

Weekend
06/23/2003 01:24 a.m.
So i was "away" during the weekend. been a bit busy.

saturday finished War of the Twins. Then I was at the mall at about 10 and bought Harry Potter 5. Went to watch The Hulk after. Hulk was very dispappointing and very boring. Afterwards, ate some then went home. Then read HP. I finished the book Sunday/Monday midnight already. So I'm a bit sleepy right now. I wont be giving out spoilers for HP.

Anyway, that was my weekend. Later I'll continue reading another book later. (For the past 3 weeks, I've finished 6 books already and they're all long ones)

Poetry Clinic
06/19/2003 02:42 p.m.
I was going to put Angel's Pond on the poetry clinic and was typing already a new post when I decided against it. Im not satisfied with the last two lines of it so the clinic might help me but the poem has a lot of comments already. I do not want people to think I'm just after more comments *sigh* (i want suggestions at this point, people already told me the poem is good anyway lol). SO if anyone out there is reading this please make a suggestion especially on the last two lines. They're not as "ethereal" as they should be.
