Wow.
and wow.
and wowee.

Megan said hades froze over today. Guess who called? David's sister called to apologize to them both! Then subtly worked into the conversation that she almost suicided Saturday. Their shock over the whole thing was still obvious. Megan credits it to reading the bible. lol, said she is going to read it again tonight. I was already having an interesting day in the Lord anyway, lol. It still shocks me (every time!) when he chooses to step into my world in an exact moment to say something to me in a way that would mean little or nothing to anyone else. To choose to use a rat/mouse theme... Specific to me in a current interest. Amazing.... coins see dance. I reel in His surreal. Such an amazing love.

Sc-a(d)ven(t)ger hunt a great success!
12/25/2007 07:34 p.m.
What a wonderful Christmas this has been. Not to say it has been totally free of conflict, not by a long shot, but the joy of our Christ is massing, greater and greater in the hearts of my children. When we got back from Hattiesburg last night with Logan (his Christmas light looking "More lights! 's ona house!) had evolved into the most hilarious tone of voice coming from him with spotting certain decorations. He would scream, "More lights! Look, Nannay!" so hard I was scared he was going to have a sore throat this morning. Then as we had made at least twenty more blocks, he would deepen his voice, "Morrrrre Lights" 's ona house" so funny Chip had to stop the car to keep from wrecking. It was just perfect! He had found the perfect Christmas gift for Erin and Jonathan, new set of luggage at an unbelievable price and it was something they desperately needed since every trip they make they're always borrowing his and piecing together a set. Since they're going to Gatlinburg shortly to get married in the most romantic setting, it was just perfect. Jesus led him right to just what to get them. He gives full credit where credit is due. He got all three pieces for less than half of one, elsewhere. Katie is still not speaking to him (the conflict) but he left her gifts and a message with Erin to give her reminding her he wasn't ignoring her only honoring her request. When we got home there had been a blow up between Kim and Jarrod when she took off to her mom's(not wanting to go with them to look at lights) without leaving a note, left her purse and stuff so that it scared them all, really bad. Jarrod was so scared he was screaming and crying, from what megan said. After Gladys little visitor... anyway it all led them, Jarrod first to reading the bible together and Megan was still talking about how much better and at peace she felt this morning from it. Thank you Jesus for leading us, stupid sheep, with the heart of a shepherd who knows intimately the heart of each sheep and loves us without limit.
Logan was so adorable opening his gifts. It's the first time he's ever shown any interest in opening anything. He didn't even want to on his birthday last month and the way he showed off his clothes (which really surprised us all, who would have thought he'd have been so tickled?) is a memory I'll cherish forever.
The scavenger hunt went hilariously well. We stayed up til three o'clock figuring out four hints each for each card/person.
Jarrod won at cards first, then David at rolling a 2&5, then Megan at knowing the answer to a question leaving Kim as the loser who won with nothing lost, lol.
--------------------------------
Megan's four hints that included one letter of the final hint to the location of her gift card were:
O=a house mouse is a click away-under the mouse pad
U=Try eating your words to get the next hint-in the dictionary on the dining room table
C=Greet ur next clue with your feet as you keep the bricks neat-under the mat at the garage door
H=quit grilling us for clues-in the grill
*******************
the card was under the drivers seat of her car (a guy hit her passenger's door and she put an ouch sticker in the dent) and it was a most hilarious process.
----------------------------------
Kim's four hints:
W=your chances of winning are toast if you don't find this clue-in the toaster oven
A=This clue will cushion your love to win-under the loveseat cushion
S=Satisfy your pining to flirt by lifting this skirt - under the christmas tree skirt
H=If you don't find this clue you're washed up like dirty laundry-On washer under detergent
******
the card was in the shelf above the washing machine behind some stuff
-----------------------------------
David's four hints:
M=diffuse your clueless frustrations or pull out your hair- in the space between where the diffuser slides onto the blowdryer (he had an awful time with this, we finally relented and let Megan read it, she immediately knew right where it was, lol)
A=Get on top of finding this clue or you're getting colder (and hungry)-on top of the fridge
I=Picture the inside of a trashy shower habit -behind the picture of a tobacco harvest in my hall
L=If you can't pump a rock you can't find this clue - under one of the rocks in a circle under the pump in my front yard
********
His card was in the mailbox
------------------------------------
Jarrod's four hints:
F=This clue would heat a hobo- under the straw in our burn cauldron in the back yard
I=Not finding this clue will mow you down-hidden under the lawn mower
L=To stay right with yo mama, don't get booted before finding this clue-in my left boot by my closet (he was extremely indignant when he found it in the left boot instead of how the clue had read, lol)
E=table your coffee and shine the way to this clue - in the Stephen King book, "the shining" laying on my coffee table (he had an awful time with this one, kept wanting it to be in the kitchen somewhere even after we told him it was NOT in the kitchen near the coffee pot, lol)
*************
His card was in my filing cabinet close to the coffee table
---------------------------------------
It was so much fun and the kids had a blast, especially when they finally would find it and see just how much we had "clued" them in to the location of the next hint by using so much of where it actually was and just scrambling the words
It was great! I bet they want to do it again next year. We decided against hiding anything over at Gladys house.

Chuckles and grins

Well well well. Got a call from my neighbor Gladys. This is getting so darn funny. I have to be honest, I'm really curious to see how it goes. What will God do next, to get my back? I'm all grins. Jesus, you are so a w e s o m e! And I LOVE your delight at my trust and faith. Your gentle smile warms me head to toe, I've never felt so loved by anyone ever. What an honor. What a privilege to know such a glorious God. Thank you. But...
What are you going to do?

Yea. It's hilarious. Can't WAIT for the commentary when the kiddos get home. I can hear David, already! heheheeee
Started to take it back off after taking some snapshots, but shooooooottttt.... why miss all the fun of grossing megan out (and her usual, oh my GAWD Mama! you just ain't right) and the boys smirks... how long before David tells megan to borrow/sneak it off the tree... so bad, I'm just so bad.
Yep. One of Santa's favorite trees... heheheeeee
have to pull his beard a bit... Great catch Santa!

Now the rough part, waiting and wading through all the people to get Chip some pics/postcards done up... sheeeesh... may just TRY to do it on this printer...

ARLINGTON AT CHRISTMAS - - -

Funny that the drive-by media has never told this story in 13 years . . . .

Rest easy, sleep well my brothers.
Know the line has held, your job is done.
Rest easy, sleep well.
Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held.
Peace, peace, and farewell...

Readers may be interested to know that these wreaths -- some 5,000 -- are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine . The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's done this since 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out. Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one the poorest parts of the state.

Please share this with everyone on your address list. You hear too much about the bad things people do. Everyone should hear about this.

About last night
11/28/2007 10:48 p.m.
11/28/7
It was one of those nights you instinctively know you will treasure. The laughter of my kids reminding each other of this event or that event, usually some hilarious something at my expense. Burly's saucy pronouncement from the bathroom... ooooh, I'm sooo pretty (very true!). offering to french braid her hair -relishing the feel of her silky hair in my hands, admiring the gloss and smoothness of the braid, the closeness of the moment. I love her like she's my own daughter, already. Chip getting to be there and share it...

Today's play:
The feathered 1's are i's.
with eyes.
just say watt. needs to be said.
My purple is hidden purpose.
Leopard spots on black hide it from the cold
of wasted eyes that see no 1 or i's at all
with a waist that can hook - no handle-
but the teeth can't zip to keep the wind out.

A tank full of Thankful
11/26/2007 03:35 p.m.
It was a wonderful holiday. I'm quite sure I've never had such a spread of food laid out for me and my family with so little contribution required. And even sent home with so many bags of leftovers we ate for 2 more days on it. Logan's birthday was wonderful. I've never had my hair played with for so many hours by the man I love while he's reading me long chapters of poetry that has survived seven centuries for its genius. Awesome Thanksgiving. AND Nathan got a deer and gave us the whole tenderloin that is right now simmering in french onion soup with carrots and potatoes (after cooking all day yesterday in the crock pot).... Thank you again Lord for your unceasing generosity to us.

Another reason to be thankful
11/22/2007 03:32 p.m.
I woke up at my usual 5:30 even without the alarm going off...
and got to go back to sleep!lol

From what I keep hearing Kim's mama has gone all out for our official meet the parents (outlaws meet the inlaws, lol) Thanksgiving dinner. Enchiladas, turkey, dressing, Kim's most favorite boiled CRUSTACEANS and more. I feel so guilty. All I've got to do is bake the rolls, bring a pie and I'm going to bake some chocolate chip cookies. That's just getting off too easy for Thanksgiving, lol. I've never gotten off so easy. And even told to bring saran wrap to cover the leftovers to bring home! I'm really looking forward to meeting her mom. Kim is such a sweetheart.
Need to get off here and get busy.

Interesting! roflol with joy
11/21/2007 07:25 p.m.
In the name of JESUS, I cover myself and the one reading this with the Blood of JESUS. I ask for giant warrior angels to protect us. As your war club and weapons of war, I break down, undam, and blow up all walls of protection around all witches, warlocks, wizards, satanists, sorcerers, and the like, and I break the power of all curses, hexes, vexes, spells, charms, fetishes, psychic prayers, psychic thoughts, all witchcraft, sorcery, magic, voodoo, all mind control, jinxes, potions, bewitchments, death, destruction, sickness, pain, torment, psychic power, psychic warfare, prayer chains, incense and candle burning, incantations, chanting, blessings, hoodoo, crystals, root works, and everything else being sent my way, or my family member's way, or any Deliverance Ministries way, and I return it, and the demons to the sender, SEVENFOLD, and I bind it to them by the Blood of Jesus, and I cut and burn their ungodly silver cord and lay lines, in JESUS' Name.

This was just too kewl! I got behind her trailblazer at the golden arches and saw her little demonbuster stickers and the website ad.
www.demonbuster.com

Silly as it may seem to some, I believe it done and I RETURN to sender. Now a good bit of this reading material is "Out there" to me but it definitely makes me question why I believe what I believe and what it is exactly I believe. Fascinating! No fear allowed.

200 lashes and six months in jail
11/21/2007 06:38 p.m.
I find that so unbelievable. I can't comprehend it. As though being raped by 7 strangers weren't more than enough physical violence to a person making a poor choice of companion. And the original 90 lashes upped to 200 because she had the audacity to think it unjust and went verbal about it. Lord Jesus, I thank you for this awesome thanksgiving season. I thank you for the many reasons I have to give thanks. I thank you that Kim can get in her car (when it's running) and drive with Jarrod to "the low price leader" to fetch the groceries on her Mama's list and if by some chance they were set upon and she was terribly assaulted, she does not have to fear a set of justices will sentence her to 90 lashes and jail time for being alone in the company of her boyfriend. I truly lift thanksgiving and praise for our wonderful freedoms. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Please dispatch angels of mercy to attend this young woman. Please Lord Jesus.
Amen
