I decided to start a blog to chronical my experience at Burning Man this year... My afterburn thoughts... And collective thoughts from last year to present... I'm transcribing day logs, so it may take awhile, but eventually, my entire trip will be in blog-land... I think this is where it needs to be...
My daughter is on her second week of kindergarten... I'm not sure who has cried more, her or I... Tomorrow is her first field trip... to the Apple Orchards... I've volunteered to go as well... I'm really happy... That also means I have to work a split shift... Please pray I make it out of work alive!!!!!
I miss Pathetic, but our time will come again... I miss you too (you all know who you are...)... Thank you for thinking of/contacting me...
Blessings... I am currently Quiet
I am listening to my new kitten Buster purr...

this was a comment left on my poem "This Forum is Locked", by Philip F De Pinto:

there is an old indian saying and as I am an old indian, I will retell it o'er the plains with smoke neath my blankets, that there is nill more important than life and nature and to have all critical orifices open when speech makers commence to speeching and not be so quick to follow or lead or to say yea or nay, that is what the brakes are for or the engines unchecked, will run wild and if you search among the living or the graves you will see that there are no labels there but what used to be real flesh and bones. I know a real embrace when I feel one and when someone says I love you, can I trust the telling of it or the show? ..."
i found this to be so wise and profound, this morning... i am grateful and and listening... it would do the human race good to hear these words as well... I am currently Quiet
I am listening to my kitten coo...

cat scratch fever and the impish brilliant mind...
07/17/2004 02:55 p.m.
ah, life is indeed a strange place... yesterday, i was attacked (no, really), but my 5 pound mommy kitty, Chi... she beat the fire out of me (although, i think her target was my 140 pound lump of love neo mastiff...) the attack was so ferocious, i thought it was the dog... until i whirled around and saw the cat flying through the air and landing on my sweet Gwen's back, swiping at her head...
ok, i know the cat's had kittens, but she has been a bit off for a long time... and now i'm wondering if this is the real reason behind my poor dog's neurosis... she's getting the crap beat out of her by the cats... Merlin, my car-hitting lovely tabby, took three swipes at the poor thing the other day... just for walking by!!... no wonder my dog is skittish... or, maybe not... i don't know... but what i do know is, i have several gashes on my upper thigh and five puncture wounds on the back, where she held on... bled for four hours... funny, now she's sitting here next to me eating peacefully, with Gwen asleep on the floor... same area, no kittens around... wonder if psycho momma kitty will play nice...
ok, now here is the absolutely hilarious part... i called my daughter from work yesterday and asked how she was doing... said "i don't care what you do today, as long as you do NOT touch the kitties"... guess what my four year old little wonder said, without missing a beat? "ok, so, you don't care if i smoke?"... i stammered out, "well, of course i do"... to which she promptly replied "do you care if i drive a car?"... "no, you can't drive a car"... "well, can i do baaaaaaaaad things, mommy?... hmm?"... and she starts giggling hysterically...
i laughed the rest of the day at work... legalistic little ball of love... LOL… I am currently Tired
I am listening to coffee percolate...

heard about it on the radio... it tends to lean to the right, but says it's non-political...
even though i'm registered green party... i agree more with the folks who are not bashing this beautiful country... and liberal media seems to be doing a lot of that... so, if that means i'm becoming a conservative... well, a spade is a spade...
i have not explored the entire site (been working twelve hour shifts... Mon-Sun, so i'm beat...) but i know a few of you would appreciate checking out this site... I am currently Exhausted
I am listening to sleeping beauty...

Happy 4th of July, everyone... I hope this day reminds the skeptics who hate America (especially the ones that live here) that we are most fortunate in our freedom (that means speech too)... I hope this is a day of reflection that reminds all of the fight we have fought, won, and continue fighting, to remain Americans... to remain free...
I will be spending tomorrow with my in-laws, remembering that we need to take care of each other, young and old, big and small... I am currently Blessed

some people just get it...

there is nothing more rewarding on a site like this, then when someone reads a piece you've poured your poetic soul into, and they get it... whether it's identical to the original thought you were presenting, or a spin and an opening of a door to your mind you didn't even know was there...
it is moments like this that give me great happiness... and happiness is good...
thank you... I am currently Calm
I am listening to my neo mastiff snore...
