The Journal of Michele Schottelkorb A Day in the Life...
01/20/2005 01:35 p.m.
hmmm... i'm a little shocked... someone put my sex poem on the front page of Pathetic.org *grin*... ok, so it's not necessarily a sex poem... but it could be *double grin*... actually, i wrote it for my husband, last week... we are entering into a new realm of our married life... an exciting, scary, beautiful place... one i have been dreaming of, but not realized... so it begs to ask the question, of us both, “are you real?”... can a couple together nearly seven years finally reach an area of trust and love where boundaries are thrown astray and both dive into the unknown, holding hands and smiling the whole way?... it's hard to be vulnerable... tough to open up... but, damn it, it's crucial... vital... this better be real...
at any rate, someone thinks it makes for decent poetry, so thanks *smile*... thank you very much...
well, now that i've poured out a little piece of me... one more thing... i go this morning, at 9:30, for an ultrasound... i'm 16 weeks now, my belly is getting nicely rounded, and my breasts feel like weights (don't get too excited, they hurt like hell... most of the time *grin*)... so, i might be able to announce if we are having a bouncing baby boy or girl by this afternoon...
ravage the moment, my friends... ravage it, for once today is gone, it's gone...
oh yes, and no matter what my lovely husband swears to, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds IS about LSD... i don't care how long the Beatles deny it... hey, psychedelics aren't always a bad thing... *wink*
i'd love to turn you on... a Day in the Life I am currently Reflective
I am listening to With a Little Help From My Friends... the Beatles (Sgt Pepper)

song in my head times II
01/19/2005 01:50 p.m.
just thinking about this song makes me want to cry... one of my all time favorites...
ok, so i'm feeling a little nostalgic this morning... must be the week, or maybe one of our favorite's here rummaged through my old garbage poetry... making me smile and cry... thank you, dear you...
Romeo and Juliet
a lovestruck romeo sings the streets a serenade
laying everybody low with a lovesong that he made
finds a streetlight steps out of the shade
says something like you and me babe how about it?
juliet says hey it's romeo you nearly gave me a heart attack
he's underneath the window she's singing hey la my boyfriend's back
you shoudn't come around here singing up at people like that
anyway what you gonna do about it?
juliet the dice were loaded from the start
and I bet and you exploded in my heart
and I forget I forget the movie song
when you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong juliet?
come up on different streets they both were streets of shame
both dirty both mean yes and the dream was just the same
and I dream your dream for you and now your dream is real
how can you look at me as I was just another one of your deals?
well you can fall for chains of silver you can fall for chains of gold
you can fall for pretty strangers and the promises they hold
you promised me everything you promised me thick and thin
now you just say oh romeo yeah you know I used to have a scene with him
juliet when we made love you used to cry
you said I love you like the stars above I'll love you till I die
there's a place for us you know the movie song
when you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong?
I can't do the talk like the talk on the tv
and I can't do a love song like the way its meant to be
I can't do everything but I'd do anything for you
can't do anything except be in love with you
and all I do is miss you and the way we used to be
all I do is keep the beat the bad company
all I do is kiss you through the bars of Orion
julie I'd do the stars with you any time
juliet when we made love you used to cry
you said I love you like the stars above Ill love you till I die
there's a place for us you know the movie song
when you gonna realize it was just that the time was wrong?
a lovestruck romeo sings the streets a serenade
laying everybody low with a lovesong that he made
finds a convenient streetlight steps out of the shade
says something like you and me babe how about it?

song in my head
01/19/2005 01:29 p.m.
i have not been able to get this song out of my head... must be there for a reason...
In My Life
There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed,
Some forever, not for better,
Some have gone and some remain.
All these places had their moments,
With lovers and friends I still can recall,
Some are dead and some are living,
In my life I’ve loved them all.
But of all these friends and lovers,
There is no one compared with you,
And these mem’ries lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new.
Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before,
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more.
Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before,
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more.
In my life I love you more.

Johnny Depp? How fitting...

 | You Are Edward From "Edward Scissorhands."
You are very shy and often misunderstood. Innocent, sweet, and artistic, you like to pass your days by daydreaming and expressing yourself through the arts. You are a truly unique individual. Unfortunately, you are quite lonely, and few people truly understand you. |
Take The Johnny Depp Quiz!

death of a terrorist gets front page over veterans... sad.
11/12/2004 03:45 a.m.
interesting Veteran's Day today... most of the major newspapers in this country (the liberal media) had larger spots on their frontpage for the passing of the father of modern day terrorism (i.e. hijacking, suicide bombers...) then for our own veterans...
what the hell is wrong with this picture?
Happy Veterans' Day... Thank you for risking your lives so that we might be a free country... Too bad the news media doesn't think so... At least not enough to honour you properly on the one day you have earned to be honoured on...
My prayers go out to those alive, dead and fighting... Bless America... I am currently Somber

Poem of the Day for 10/27/04
you take you with you by Michele Schottelkorb
you try, you fail
you try, you fail
white lies lace fairy-tale endings
(it’ll only hurt a lifetime)
weekday admonitions of devotion
cease with weekend reality checks
swollen eyes accompany sharp tongues
(I really do love you, but) {sometimes love is not enough}
an excuse for an addiction for an angry truth...
we are who we are
and that’s all that we are
you can change the scenery
but you take you with you.
Try again.
