The Journal of Michele Schottelkorb Nightmares
02/03/2005 03:41 p.m.
I've been plagued on and off with nightmares since I was fifteen...
Being pregnant, they seem to be more vivid and less surreal... Last night's nightmare had me in real tears...
I know dreaming is good for you, but how many years does one have to suffer through endless nightmares? At least I woke up... This time... I am currently Troubled
I am listening to nothing...

the Last and Baby Hugs...
02/03/2005 06:18 a.m.
my youngest sister just was accepted to Cal State LA and Cal State Northridge... and they are making her a manager at her job... She's 17... I'm so proud of her... And, for the upbringing we had, and the trials of Life, I'm damn proud of all of us... But, tonight, especially her... What a beautiful, smart young woman... I can't describe the pride I feel... You'd think I was going to college myself...
Congratulations, my little monkey... You deserve it... You did it, all by yourself... You are my hero...
and, on a totally unrelated footnote... my Andikins kissed the baby tonight and told her/him she loved her/him... That really touched me... Rob was the first to talk to this baby, and it seemed very fitting that Andi would be next... And, it me feel very special... Thank you for that... I needed it... I love you, man :) I am currently Content

dr marten's, tennis shoes, honor roll and big cats...
01/31/2005 06:03 p.m.
i just came home from my daughter's school... she made the honor roll... bright little thing... now i can replace my gothic and burning man stickers on my car with, "my child is an honor roll student"... it is moments like these that we live for, you know? *grin*
last saturday, we went to the feline compound out here... i had a blast... i put some pictures up in my blog... if you care to see a bunch of best friends...
on another note... i swear by dr marten shoes... i have 20 eye, 10 eye, the ever rare 7 eye (with pointed toes!), 3 eye, mary janes, even birkenstock style dr martens... i am an official doc whore... really... and proud of it... until i became pregnant this time around... my trusty boots do not love my feet... my doctor (human one, not foot one) suggested i buy a pair of tennis shoes... me? wear tennis shoes?? i haven't worn tennis shoes since running miles hung over in high school... since playing volleyball before my knee blew my beach career (and out)... but, sciatica rules this bod right now... so i put on my boots and went out looking for the perfect pair of tennis shoes...
i am now the proud owner of a pair of black (of course) airwalks (wow, tennis shoes have come a long way) and a silver/gray with bright flourescent green laces polo sport X-67's... funky and fabulous... who would've thunk this doc ho would appreciate tennis shoes... i'll always love my boots, but this entry is really to say, trying new things isn't always all that bad... now, if only dr marten would make tennis shoes... i would be a complete woman *smirk* I am currently Thoughtfull
I am listening to my sister watch Queer as Folk...

never again...
01/28/2005 02:23 a.m.
today, 60 years ago, "Jan 27, 1945 - Soviet troops liberate Auschwitz. By this time, an estimated 2,000,000 persons, including 1,500,000 Jews, have been murdered there." (http://www.historyplace.com/worldwar2/holocaust/timeline.html)... we said never again... it's happening again, in the Sudan... please read up on this modern day genocide (http://www.theinternetfoundation.org/Africa/Sudan/Genocide.htm)... even if America (as a whole; government, media and entertainment industry) has been slow to react, we don't have to follow in kind...
never again... I am currently Bothered

oh well, at least i have a car and medical insurance right? i must be fortunate... oh wait, i had to work my ass off to get it... so? california bites...
i swear, i want to leave this valley... i want the forest... and i want it yesterday... blah... I am currently Pissed Off

"Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be."

Nature is Mind Blowing...
01/20/2005 07:40 p.m.
well... my ultrasound was scheduled a little early... So, I'm going back on my birthday next month for another... However, this one still proved a mind blowing experience... I have posted pictures of my new little one in my blog: http://damaradeaella.blogspot.com/ What a trip...
the technician said it was still a little early to tell, but if she had to guess, she'd say she was 70% sure the baby is a girl... another baby girl... my little Audrey will be so happy... And Daddy's already asking how his "girls" are... lol... Life is grand... Life can be hard, be it still is grand...
Mother Nature blows my mind... I am currently Calm
