The Silence of Time

by John D Uzzell

It just goes by and we don't see it
There is nothing to hear
Running even when we are asleep
Showing us what to fear

We go on our own way and
We travel where we will
We find the one that we love forever
And we just go on standing still

It is quiet as we walk in our lives
And we all see where it goes
It keeps secrets for us as we are
Never lying, but lights up our woes

It is only rough when we think
Of what it has done till now
But time has its way of helping
And with love shows us how

Silently tracking what we love and how we live
It never stops, won't pause for anything
Time is quiet, silent to our lives
And the end is all that time brings

This is really a great POTD John! Time so silent yet such an important part of our reality. And I believe we've yet to understnad it. But your've taken a great step here.
