Then what shall I be?
what identity
can I - will I adopt
if such a thing is even possible

Just another crazy old man?
who’s travelled many miles
in more ways than one
with a multitude of stories
to pass down to the young’uns

Some of them fiction
others reality
while a few more
somewhere in-between
with only the names and places changed
to protect the guilty

Ah!
but the world’s a very different place
from when he first set out
with everyone lost in their own little worlds
who has time for such luxuries
as poetry?
and so he must ask

If not a poet
then what shall I be???
