looks like the car has finally run out of gas
and good timing

you wake up one morning realizing
you just don’t feel like doing something anymore
Sure
there’s been periods of torpor
even stasis before
but not like this

Some will be disappointed
others relieved
the smart bombs have been diffused
while a few will simply flat out not believe
call that one the Elvis Presley effect
And barring the arrival of COVID-20
to resuscitate this particular kind
of Frankenstein monster
