A breath of fresh air
in the form of
spent rocket fuel

It was nice to see
the manned missile lift off
taking us back to
the glory days of
Walter Kronikite broadcasts
Neil Armstrong
Apollo 11
one giant leap for mankind

A bit of apprehension
when reached
that Challenger
go with full throttle altitude
then collective sigh of relief
as she soared above and beyond
with Canadian on board
no less

It was nice to see a missile used
for something positive again
instead of killing people
