Bluffs by Richard VinceImagine this:
You climb the hill and
Look out from the edge,
Expecting to see
A land of hopes and dreams,
But what is actually there is
Just a land.
Do you accept the disappointment,
Admit that your expectations
Were unrealistic, or do you
Pretend that you saw
What you wanted,
Tell everyone it is there,
And try to make them believe
It is what they long for too?

| Posted by Anita Mac on 01/27/26 at 11:15 PM I know what I opt for, but increasingly find that people I love very much tend to feel differently. |
