Some years
Winter arrives
when the gales of November
come early
as Gordon Lightfoot once sang

A nasty surprise
when the snow stays
having been spoiled
by a few years of Climate Change
an absolutely gorgeous
Summer and Autumn

And though no -30
as in genuine January
we Canadians take it in stride
adjusting ourselves
to the new temps
with ample layers of clothing

Knowing in a few months
we could easily see
an April in February
or June in March...

Of course

and cycle
by now
