Went through two girlfriends
eating those things
to movies and music
red or white wine

Imagine a guy
in love with his
Humpty Dumpties
yet who gags at
the taste of cheddar
anything stronger than mozzarella
though some say mozzarella
isn’t really cheese
no taste but lots of texture

In summary
the only cheese liked since childhood
and now
the girlfriends are gone
as too the wine
as it should be
no room in a diabetic’s diet
for all that extra sugar
though the cheese sticks remain
a guilty pleasure
limited to weekends

Still good with movies and music
but in a whole new way
