What would you have me do?
jump up and down
scream and shout
wave my arms in the air
like a lunatic
shouting
tariff this and
tariff that
while you’re at it
why not put a tariff on Poetry???

No
a much quieter approach is needed
best to ride out a Trumpian storm
only take in enough media
to know what’s going on
lest it suck all the oxygen
out of any given room

While remembering
right and wrong never change meanings
no matter how clever the one
casting truth from lie
like any storm
it will soon blow over
and blow back to its architect
leaving him in ruin
