This is a true winter
likes the ones of old
with lots of cold
and blowing snow
windchill yet to be included
climate change
was an unborn child

This year
the Rideau Canal open longer
than it’s been in a long time
batten down the hatches Ottawa
40cm on the way
with weather to match
our political climate
