As we wait to see
what the juggernaut to the south
has in store for us this time
and us for it
in the inauguration week ahead
reassured for now by the simple
more pleasant things in life
Calabrese baguette a la garlic butter
diet cola either Pepsi or Coke
to go with my son’s homemade spaghetti
