Trump is good for Canada
though that opinion could change at any time
a bully’s just what this country needs right now
to bring us closer together
more united than we’ve been in the past four years
or longer

In his own mind
Trudeau did the best he could
got us through the pandemic
but the middle class got tired
of his empty slogan of
being for the little guy
while at the same time
taxing him to death
to fuel the Liberal Climate Change agenda
yet to wield results
impotent to stop the soaring costs
of food and housing

The honeymoon was quaint while it lasted
for the short time it did
as sunny ways soon mutated into the Corona virus
but Canada never did come back
at least the way he envisioned
if it was ever really gone
how quickly a leader
once loved and admired by so many
becomes yesterday’s man
only to be filed away
in the dusty bin of history

Trump is good for Canada
the premieres are meeting
discussing their options
getting their industrial ducks in a row
the military is rebuilding
albeit painfully slow

And if there should be an invasion
I’d rather it be America
than Russia or China
make it a bloodless coup
Mr. President
if you must
but for the elephant in the room
beware
it won’t be the first time that a mouse
has learned how to roar
