Imperialism once more rears its ugly head
the kind that brought war in 1812
genocide of first nations throughout the Americas

Invade Greenland, the Panama Canal?
for security reasons of course
rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America?

One doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry
surely just the musings of yet another politician
with a short attention span

Looking to boost his ratings
while sucking the oxygen
out of every living room

And if that isn’t bad enough
wooing Canada to join him
in his upcoming misadventures

Justin Trudeau finally showing some backbone
responds “Not a snowball’s chance in hell
of Canada becoming the 51st state”

Of course, the only way being
a military invasion or economic blackmail
odd that the rest of the world hasn’t said anything

After all it's just the rantings of a crazy old man
and what harm can he do in four years?
...or longer???
