Farewell 2024
as Dickens wrote
you were the best of times
and the worst of times
though mostly best
but to be fair
more somewhere in-between
like the year before
and the year before that...
yet knowing someday
these will also be
the good old days
and added to the rest
rightly so

But now we all have
a date with Destiny
as a people
nation
a world
while political clouds
some dark
others brightly colored
loom in the distance
of uncertainty
that is 2025
