Now that the shock has subsided
surprised but not so surprised
your Minister of Finance and Deputy
wasn’t a bobblehead after all
and she won’t be viewing the bigger picture
from underneath your bus anytime soon
as some of her predecessors have
while you preach feminism from the lofty perch
of hypocrisy

How the truth eventually always comes out
though this time it took a deficit of 61B as in Billion
and various political gimmicks to
raise the ire of a nation yet again
a job most of us wouldn’t take
for all the money in the world

Oh sweet Christmas!
a time for the House to recess
let cooler heads prevail?
as the country braces for the Trumpian storm
of January
like your father Prime Mister
a good time to take that walk in the snow
or has narcissism totally blinded you
to the reality at hand?

Tear yourself from the mirror for a moment sir
and ponder what happens
when a puppet master’s puppets
now pull the strings
